Asado Bitters & Tinctures

Asado Life’s housemade bitters and tinctures, crafted in-house to add depth, balance, and flavor to cocktails.

Bitters are the spice rack of the cocktail world. A few dashes can bring depth, complexity, and balance to even the simplest of cocktails.

At Asado Life, we make our own bitters and tinctures in-house, giving you a way to bring some of the flavors we use behind the bar home with you.

Asado Orange Vanilla Bitters

We age our Asado Orange Vanilla Bitters for one month in charred oak barrels filled with Madagascar vanilla beans. The result is a layered combination of bright orange, subtle vanilla, and oak that adds depth and balance to cocktails.

Our bitters are especially well-suited to agave spirit cocktails and are also the key ingredient in our signature Shipyard Old Fashioned, which you can recreate at home.

Shipyard Old Fashioned

Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon

  • ¼ oz amaro

  • 2 dashes Asado Orange Bitters

  • Orange peel

  • Filthy® Black Cherries

Directions

  1. Pour bourbon and amaro directly over ice.

  2. Add 2 dashes of Asado Orange Bitters.

  3. Express the orange peel by twisting it over the cocktail, then paint the rim with the oils.

  4. Garnish with a fresh orange peel and Filthy® Black Cherries.

The combination of bourbon, amaro, orange, and our house-made bitters creates a balanced Old Fashioned with plenty of depth.

Turn Up the Heat with Asado Datil Pepper Tincture

Asado Life’s housemade datil pepper tincture alongside a craft cocktail, adding a bright, spicy kick to the glass.

Locals know: datil peppers are small, hot peppers with a fruity flavor similar to habaneros. They are closely associated with St. Augustine and Minorcan culture and have become a distinctive part of the city’s culinary heritage.

Our Asado Datil Pepper Tincture brings that local ingredient to your home bar. It delivers clean, bright heat with the subtle fruity notes datil peppers are known for, making it an easy way to add a little St. Augustine flavor to your favorite cocktails.

Datil peppers can range from 100,000 to 300,000 Scoville Heat Units, putting them significantly above a jalapeño on the heat scale. A little goes a long way, but you can add as much or as little as you like.

Try the tincture in a Bloody Mary or Paloma, or use it to add a burst of heat to your own cocktail creations.

Asado Chocolate Bitters

Asado Life’s housemade chocolate bitters, crafted in-house with rich, bittersweet depth.

Made in-house, our Asado Chocolate Bitters add depth and complexity to cocktails, with subtle notes of cacao, spice, and roast. They help balance richer cocktails and complement flavors like bourbon, rum, coffee, vanilla, and dark fruit.

Bring the Flavors of Asado Home

From the depth of our Orange Vanilla Bitters to the bright heat of our Datil Pepper Tincture and the rich complexity of our Chocolate Bitters, our house-made bitters and tinctures bring bold flavor and balance to every pour.
